What is eLearning?

eLearning refers to the use of digital platforms to access educational content, training, or courses from anywhere, at any time.

Do I need any special software to access the courses?

No, Most courses can be accessed using a modern web browser only.

Can I access the courses on my mobile device?

Yes, our platform is mobile-friendly and works on most smartphones and tablets.

Will I receive a certificate after completing a course?

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion once you finish all course requirements.

What is an NVQ?

An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a competency-based, work-related qualification that proves you are capable of doing your job to national occupational standards. It is assessed using real-world evidence from your current role.

Who is the NVQ for?

NVQs are designed for individuals who are already working in their chosen industry and want to gain a formal qualification based on their existing skills and experience.

What NVQ levels do you offer?

We offer a wide range of NVQ and vocational qualifications from Level 3 to Level 7 across multiple sectors, including:

  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Environmental Management
  • Construction and Site Supervision
  • Fire Safety and Risk Management
  • Business Management and Strategic Leadership
  • Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

These qualifications are suitable for professionals at different stages of their careers, from operational staff to senior leaders, as well as those looking to become qualified assessors or internal quality assurers.

How is an NVQ assessed?

NVQs are assessed through a portfolio of work, which may include:
– Workplace documents
– Photos/videos
– Reflective accounts
– Witness testimonies
– Assessor observations
– Professional discussions

Are there any exams or classes?

No. NVQs are entirely work-based and portfolio-assessed. There are no written exams or classroom sessions.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal academic entry requirements. However, you must:
– Be in a relevant job role
– Be able to provide workplace evidence

How long does it take to complete?

Completion times vary depending on the qualification level, your experience, and how consistently you submit your work. On average:
– Level 3 NVQ: 6–8 weeks
– Level 5/6 NVQ: 10–12 weeks
– Level 7 NVQ: 12–15 weeks
You will have up to 12 months maximum to complete, if needed.

Can I fast-track my NVQ?

Yes, if you already have sufficient and relevant workplace evidence, you may be able to complete your NVQ more quickly with assessor approval.

What happens if I fail a unit?

NVQs are not marked as pass/fail. If your work doesn’t meet the criteria, your assessor will provide feedback and ask for additional or revised submissions.

What support will I receive?

You will be assigned a qualified assessor who will guide you through:
– Portfolio structure
– Work requirements
– Regular feedback
– One-to-one support via phone, video call, or email

Can I complete the NVQ fully online?

Yes. All NVQs offered by Global HSE Training & Consultancy can be completed 100% online through our secure learner portal.

Is the qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. Our NVQs are regulated by UK awarding bodies (e.g., ProQual, Focus Awards) and recognised by organisations such as IOSH, IIRSM, and IFE.

What are the payment options?

We offer flexible payment plans. A minimum 40% deposit is required, with the balance payable in monthly instalments over up to 3 months.

How do I Enroll?

You can enroll by submitting:
– Completed registration form
– Valid ID and CV
– Initial payment

What if I change jobs during the NVQ?

If your new role is still relevant to the qualification, you can continue. If not, discuss options with your assessor.

Is there a deadline to complete the NVQ?

Yes. All NVQ qualifications must be completed within the maximum standard timeframe of one year from the date of registration. Extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances, subject to a small monthly fee.

What if I need to pause or take a break?

You can request a break in learning. If inactive for an extended period, a reactivation or extension fee may apply.

Can I apply for CertIOSH after completing the NVQ Level 6?

Yes. Once you successfully complete the NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, you can apply for CertIOSH (Certified Membership of IOSH). Submit your certificate and CV to IOSH for review. If accepted, you can begin the Initial Professional Development (IPD) process to work towards CMIOSH.

What happens after I complete the NVQ?

You will receive:
– A UK-recognised certificate from ProQual or Focus Awards (both Ofqual-regulated)
– Support in applying for professional memberships such as CertIOSH
– Opportunities to progress to higher-level qualifications

What is the learner portal?

Our learner portal is a secure online platform where you:
– Upload work
– Receive feedback
– Track progress
– Communicate with your assessor

Is the portal mobile-friendly?

Yes. You can access the portal and upload work from your phone, tablet, or computer.

What file types are accepted?

The portal accepts PDF, DOC, XLS, JPG, PNG, MP4, and MOV. We recommend PDFs for documents and MP4 for videos.

What if I forget my login?

Use the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login page. For further help, contact our technical support team.

How will I know if my work is accepted?

Your assessor will review your submitted work and provide feedback in the portal. If accepted, the progress percentage will be updated, which you can view in your portal dashboard.

Is my data safe on the portal?

Yes. Our portal is GDPR-compliant and uses encrypted, password-protected access to protect your data.

Can I download my completed portfolio?

No. Your completed portfolio will be retained securely by the centre for a period of three years, as required by the awarding body. However, you may keep copies of your own submitted work.

What if I need technical help?

We offer dedicated technical support via email or WhatsApp. Most issues are resolved within 24 working hours.

Will I receive both digital and printed certificates?

You will receive an official digital certificate. ProQual does not issue printed (hard copy) certificates. You may print the digital copy for your own use.

Can I use the NVQ for visa or job applications?

Yes. NVQs are UK-regulated and recognised globally. Many learners use them for job advancement, visa processing, and international placements.
