Cancellation and Refund Policy

Introduction

At Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd, we are committed to providing quality training and support throughout the qualification process. However, we understand that situations may arise where candidates need to adjust their enrolment. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and related procedures.

 

Enrolment Process

A candidate’s enrolment onto a qualification begins when payment (either partial or full) is made and the registration form is submitted. The enrolment process involves:
Immediate registration of the candidate with the awarding body
Setting up the candidate’s e-portfolio
Allocation of an assessor
Candidate induction
These processes incur considerable costs, require organisational resources, and cannot be undone once initiated.

 

Refund Policy

• Full Refund Before Registration
Candidates are entitled to a full refund if requested before the commencement of the registration process.
• No Refund After Registration for Payment Plans
There is strictly no refund for candidates on a payment plan after the registration and enrolment process has been completed.
• Refunds for Full Payments
For candidates who have made full payments, a refund may be requested, provided it is made before the start of the assessment process.
• No Refund Once Assessment Starts
No candidate is entitled to a refund once the assessment process has started unless it can be demonstrated that Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd or the assigned assessor is unable to continue with the delivery of the qualification as agreed.
• Qualification Change
Candidates may request a change to a different qualification delivered by Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd, subject to the registration cost and administrative expenses already incurred being covered.

 

Refund Calculation

Refunds for entitled candidates will be calculated by deducting the following costs from the total payment made towards the qualification:
• Registration and enrolment costs
• Costs of administering the assessment to its current stage (including assessor input, IQA fees, and organisational documentation used)

 

Qualification Time Extension

NVQ portfolios have a limited timeframe for completion. Awarding organisations have time limits within which assessments must be completed. Candidates are advised to be mindful of these time limits, particularly if they plan to take breaks during the qualification assessment.
If the qualification time limit is exceeded, Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd may charge an extension fee for the learner to continue their NVQ.

 

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) Consideration

Global HSE Training & Consulting Ltd determines qualification time limits based on the GLH recommended by Ofqual and the relevant awarding organisation for successful qualification completion. The recommended GLH for each qualification unit can be found in the qualification specifications.

 

Qualification Time Limits

Qualification time limits are determined as follows:
1. Summing the individual GLH for each qualification unit.
2. Dividing the total GLH by 80 (based on a candidate studying 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, and 4 weeks per month) to calculate the number of months required to complete the qualification.
3. An additional 75% extra time is allowed as a safety factor, providing a fair qualification time limit.
8. Replacements, Updates, and Upgrades
Candidates may be replaced, updated, or upgraded only if the assessment is still within the first quarter of its time limit and no assessments have been submitted. This will be subject to:
• A new registration fee
• An administration fee, which varies by qualification and the level of input into the original qualification
Each case will be handled individually.

 

Certificates

Certificates will be withheld until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to charge late payment interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debt (Interest) Act 1998.
In line with our conditions of service:
• Uncollected certificates will be subject to a handling and safekeeping fee after one month of receiving or notifying the candidate of their arrival.
• Uncollected certificates may be disposed of after three months of receiving or notifying the candidate of their arrival.
